Premier Project: Online Insurance Quotation and Purchase System

We created a custom web application that allowed consumers to receive custom insurance quotes online – with the ability for consumers to play “what-if” and receive pricing for various scenarios. Once the consumer had settled on a policy configuration, they could purchase the policy online.

Both quote and policy information were transmitted to the back office automatically and integrated into the in-house policy management system.

The web solution was built on PHP/Perl/MySQL, with the backoffice portion of the solution in .NET. The payment gateway was custom-integrated directly into the application – without the use of external payment services. Also included were Perl/SOAP integrations with a third-party provider of driving record and claims history data. These integrations allowed new policies to be quoted quite accurately while minimizing the risk to the insurer of writing bad policies.

Premier Project: WordPress/WooCommerce Site Development

CLP took ownership of the entire project, starting with the basic setup of the domain, email and hosting environment. From there we set up WordPress and WooCommerce, customizing the function of WC with the installation of appropriate extensions and integration with third-party services (payment and shipping services)

After that, we built the WordPress site structure, developed the website graphics and customized the template per the client specifications. Finally, we performed the actual product data and image load for the client and also the configuration of product categories for easy site navigation.

In the end, a complete, highly-functional, professionally-developed website went live for a very satisfied client.
